Bearings Options
Train systems are now available with either a bearings included option or a without bearings option.
This gives customers the flexibility to either:
- purchase a complete ready-to-assemble setup with bearings included,
- source their own bearings separately,
- or reuse bearings they already own.
If you choose the without bearings option, the required bearing sizes will depend on the wheel assembly type selected.
Classic Wheel Assemblies
Classic wheel assemblies use standard bearing sizes:
- MR115 – 5×11×4 mm
- S685 – 5×11×5 mm
HD Wheel Assemblies
HD wheel assemblies use:
- 5×13×4 mm bearings for the 2 upper main wheels on each assembly
- 5×11×4 mm or 5×11×5 mm bearings for the side wheels and upstop wheels
This allows the HD wheel assembly to achieve a more realistic roller coaster wheel configuration.
Higher-quality ceramic or hybrid ceramic bearings are still recommended where possible, as they typically require no pre-setup and spin more freely straight away. Cheaper steel bearings with rubber seals often need to be disassembled and cleaned before use, and can be more prone to rust or corrosion over time.
